  1. Dennis Rodman all day! During the Bull’s run, they would use him to guard and shut down anyone on floor from the PG to the Center. He could get in to people’s heads like no one before or since!

    1. I would be inclined to agree. Others such as Mutombo were great shot blockers and rim protectors, but you didn’t find them guarding people effectively outside of the post. Rodman was fearless and tanacious on the block and in the half court. His style of defense involved not only a tough and aggressive physical presence, but also mental pyschology. He had people ready to hate him. They would be so mad at him, that they would get out of rhythm. On the list posed, I like Ben Wallce too, he had a lot of the Dennis Rodman characteristics, but if we’re saying overall best defender, I have to notch Dennis as 1 and Ben as 2.
