I had the distinct displeasure of watching the hapless Lions lose their 10th game of the season today (0-10-1). As I watched, I started to think to myself, “I feel like the Lions play and lose on Thanksgiving Day every year.” I did a little research and found that they have played at home on Thanksgiving every year since 1934 — except when games were paused from 1939 to 1944 during World War II. They have a Thanksgiving Day record of 37(W)-43(L)-2(T). They have only won 4 times in the last 15 years and have now lost 5 years in a row! Can the NFL please stop the madness!!! Can we get a better team featured in this high-profile annual slot? Who’s with me??? What team do you think the league should feature lieu of the Lions? Sound off in the comments section.

I would take the Jets, Eagles, Jags, Giants or any other mediocre or bad team. Something has to give.

How about my Panthers??? Can we give them some exposure? I just really have a hard time watching games where neither of the teams have anything to play for. The Lions are awful, but they were playing the Bears who aren’t much good either.

Back in the day nobody wanted to play on Thanksgiving but they volunteered. So I think they deserve to play even though they are terrible 😆

I feel you Jr. But man terrible might be understatement. Back in the day they were getting paid pennies to play. This day and age with the big TV contracts and $$$ involved, I’m sure others would be willing play now. Even if they let them rotate and play every other year, I’d take that that.

I am definitely with you….they should be able to do it. Do a flex game or something. The Lions should never come on National TV again….lol
